As our Senior Pastor, she serves as more than a teacher of the Word; she is the spiritual architect of our mission and a devoted shepherd to our souls
Reverend Cecilia’s ministry is deeply rooted in her lived experience. Moving to Marks Gate in 2002, she and her family encountered a community facing significant spiritual and social trials. Rather than retreating from the challenges of vehicle theft, vandalism, and the exploitation of the youth, Reverend Cecilia saw a harvest field.
Driven by a "Nehemiah-like" spirit, she recognized that the physical safety of the neighborhood was inextricably linked to its spiritual health. Her leadership was forged in the fire of these early challenges, transforming a personal trial into a public mission to reclaim the community for the Kingdom of God.
Beyond the pulpit, Reverend Cecilia is a distinguished architect of social change, widely recognized for her expertise in community organizing and empowerment.
Her leadership extends into the heart of civic life, where she currently serves as the Chair of the Centre for Theology & Community (CTC), a national leader in community asset development and social enterprise.
For nearly a decade, she has also served as the Co-Chair of Barking & Dagenham Citizens, a role that underscores her unique ability to convene residents, civil society, and decision-makers to drive systemic change.
Under her direction, On The Rock International Ministries operates at the strategic intersection of health, wellbeing, and social justice, collaborating with key partners such as Thames Life, Citizens UK, St Margaret’s Church, and the Faith Network.
This extensive network of influence, including her work with Christian Voice and Dagenham Christians Together, reflects a deep institutional trust and a tireless commitment to building local leadership capacity and strengthening the very fabric of our borough.
Reverend Cecilia does not lead from a distance. She is a hands-on mentor and a spiritual mother who believes that faith must be visible in our daily lives. Her ministry is defined by the belief that no soul is too lost and no community is too broken for the restorative power of God.
